# Stories and Remixing

**Vimix is a SocialFi platform that tracks how ideas get built on.**

On today’s internet, influence rarely comes from a single post.\
Stories move when ideas are picked up by others, extended with new perspectives, and carried into new contexts.\
They persist because people choose to build on them.

Vimix is built around this dynamic.\
\
It focuses on **story movement**:

* who extends an idea
* how stories compound over time
* how contribution is attributed as stories evolve

### **1.** Remixing as the unit of movement

On Vimix, **remixing** is how stories move forward.

A remix is any meaningful extension of an existing idea.\
This can take the form of a **quote post with added perspective**, a **longer written continuation** (e.g. Twitter article), or a reinterpretation that carries the original idea into a new format.

Stories generate **Flow** when others choose to build on them.\
Flow reflects whether an idea continues to move through people over time. It is observed, not optimized.

Each extension becomes part of a **Story Graph**, showing how a narrative evolves and where continued extension comes from.

### 2. Coordinating movement rather than boosting reach

The simplest way to think about Vimix is as a **coordination layer** for **how stories move**.

Instead of pushing content outward, Vimix makes it easier to see how ideas are carried forward by people who choose to extend them.

* Value is created through continuation, not amplification.
* Movement matters more than exposure.

### 3. Open participation in narrative continuation

Vimix removes the assumption that only projects initiate narratives while everyone else responds.

Anyone can take an existing idea and extend it.\
Creators can build visibility and relevance by contributing to stories that resonate with them.\
Projects can observe how their narratives evolve organically.

Stories move because people choose to carry them forward.

### 4. From Communities to shared narratives

On Vimix, communities do not just produce content.\
They participate in shared storylines.

Instead of isolated posts, contributors build on each other’s work over time.\
This creates continuity, clearer attribution, and sustained narrative momentum.

If a story resonates, it **continues to move**.\
If it does not, it naturally fades. Vimix makes this process observable. \
\
Vimix does not tell stories where to go. **It reveals how they already move.**

# Why Remixing

If you look at how ideas actually spread on X, it is rarely a single post doing all the work. It's usually:

* extensions that build on existing ideas
* reinterpretations that carry ideas into new contexts

On X, remixing most often takes the form of **quote posts** — taking an existing post and extending it with your own perspective.

This is how stories travel.\
And this is the dynamic Vimix is built around.

### 1. Remixing turns isolated posts into connected story structures

Most content today exists in isolation.\
People post. The timeline moves on.

The result?

* Repeated AI-generated takes
* Copy/paste content loops
* KOLs repackaging smaller creators’ ideas without giving credit

**Remixing works differently.**

It links contributions together into an evolving **Story Graph**. Not a collection of posts, but a living structure that shows how a story compounds.

Stories do not move in straight lines.\
They branch, evolve, and grow through people.

### 2. Remixing makes story movement visible

One of the core properties of remixing is **traceability**.

When ideas are extended rather than repeated, it becomes possible to observe:

* **Who inspired whom**
* **How each idea evolved through successive remixes**
* **Which contributions moved the story forward**

This creates clarity around contribution.

Not who was loudest.\
Not who arrived first.\
But who **meaningfully shaped** the direction of the narrative.

Vimix is built to surface this story structure through remix connections.

### 3. Remixing raises the bar for participation

Remixing sets a higher baseline for participation by design.

To extend an idea, a contribution must:

* Add perspective
* Make sense in context
* Be worth building on

This is difficult to fake at scale.

Instead of trying to detect or block low-quality activity, Vimix relies on this baseline to limit repetition and duplication.

Vimix does not try to block automation by default.\
Instead, it is designed so that repetition and duplication do not carry momentum.

If something continues to move, it is because people chose to carry it forward.

### 4. Remixing lowers the barrier to participation

Remixing changes how people participate in storytelling.

You do not need to start from scratch.\
You do not need to fit everything into a single post.

A remix can be brief or expansive, as long as it **meaningfully extends** an existing idea.

Some extensions are small additions.\
Others are long form explorations that push a story forward in depth.

Remixing supports many forms of contribution.

On X, the most common form is **quote posts with added perspective.**

Other remix formats include:

* **Memes**
* **Short takes**
* **Threads**
* **Long form writing**
* **Visuals**
* **Translations**

By building on existing ideas, remixing reduces duplication while encouraging depth.

This opens participation to a wider range of contributors, while making space for both speed and substance as stories evolve.

# Why Use Vimix

Vimix is a **story layer** designed for teams and creators who want to observe and coordinate how **stories move over time**.

It removes the assumption that narratives must originate from projects and flow outward.\
Instead, stories emerge through **continuation** - when people choose to extend ideas that resonate with them.

Whether you are a project or an individual creator, Vimix allows you to engage directly with story movement **without upfront setup or permission**.

***

### 1. Open by Default

Vimix is accessible without gated access or predefined roles.

Anyone can:

* observe story movement
* extend ideas they find meaningful

Coordination, when introduced, is **layered on top of this open structure**, rather than replacing it.

If resources are introduced, they are **settled** to contributors who meaningfully shape a story.\
Vimix applies a **10% platform fee** on distributed rewards.

***

### 2. Campaigns Based on Continuation

Most campaigns reward activity:\
Post this\
Share that\
Hit a volume target

Vimix works differently.

Campaigns on Vimix reward **continuation**.

Teams can:

* **Observe how narratives are already forming**
* **Introduce funding after real extension begins**
* **Allocate rewards based on Flow, not posting volume**

Funding can be provided in stablecoins, native tokens, or pre-TGE allocations.

But incentives are layered on top of **real story movement**, not used to force it.

***

### 3. Token Distribution

Vimix allocates tokens to contributors who drive **continuation**.

Allocation is based on **Flow over time**.

If your ideas are consistently built on, or your extensions lead to further movement, that contribution is recorded.

Distribution reflects **long-term structural participation**, not short-term activity.

It is not a bounty system.\
It is not paid per post.

Tokens reflect **cumulative contribution inside the Story Graph**.

# Flow

**Flow measures whether an idea continues.**

If someone builds on an idea, Flow increases.\
If no one builds on it, Flow does not increase.

Flow is not based on likes, impressions, or posting frequency.\
It is based on continuation inside the Story Graph.

***

### Simple example

* You post an idea.
* Someone quotes it and adds perspective.
* A third person builds on that extension.

That chain creates Flow.

If the chain continues, Flow grows.\
If it stops, Flow stops.

***

### How Flow works

Every meaningful extension becomes part of the Story Graph.

When extensions continue over time:

* Movement is recorded.
* Flow accumulates along that chain.
* Attribution travels back through the lineage.

Flow reflects story movement — not surface engagement.

***

### Flow vs Engagement

Engagement measures attention.\
Flow measures continuation.

You can go viral and generate low Flow if no one builds on your idea.\
You can have modest engagement and high Flow if your idea sparks ongoing extension.

***

### Two ways to generate Flow

#### Remixer Flow

You generate Remixer Flow when:

* You extend someone else’s idea
* Your extension leads to further continuation

It reflects your ability to move stories forward.

***

#### Creator Flow

You generate Creator Flow when:

* You introduce an idea
* Others build on it

Creator Flow reflects how consistently your ideas invite continuation.

It includes:

* Baseline Flow (how your ideas historically tend to move)
* Upstream attribution (when extensions build on your original idea)
* Discovery contribution (when new participants join through you)

***

### Individual and Collective Flow

**User Flow**\
Your total contribution to story movement across the network.

**Community Flow**\
Total continuation happening within a project, theme, or ecosystem.

Community Flow reflects shared narrative movement — not posting volume.

***

### Gravity

Gravity reflects how likely your ideas are to attract continuation based on historical patterns.

It measures reliability of continuation, not scale.

***

### Remixability

Remixability reflects how often others choose to extend your ideas.

It indicates how naturally your ideas invite participation.

***

### Important Distinction

Flow does not guarantee rewards.\
It does not prescribe behavior.

It reflects what already happened:

Did the idea continue?\
Or did it stop?

# Story Graph

The **Story Graph** is a structural map of how stories move through people over time.\
It forms the backbone of Vimix.

Rather than showing isolated activity, the Story Graph reveals how ideas are extended, carried forward, and connected as stories evolve.

It shows:

* who builds on whose ideas
* how stories move through extensions
* where continued extension emerges

The Story Graph focuses on **movement**, not surface-level activity.

***

### Why it matters

Most systems surface activity in isolation — impressions, likes, replies — without showing how an idea actually traveled or who carried it forward.

The Story Graph makes visible:

* **paths of influence**\
  the chain of extensions that moved an idea through the network
* **high-impact contributors**\
  not the loudest participants, but those whose ideas invite continuation
* **emerging narratives**\
  which themes are gaining momentum, and through which contributors

Flow is derived from the Story Graph by observing how extensions continue over time.\
This ensures that movement reflects real continuation rather than surface-level noise.

***

### How to read the graph

Each eligible extension appears as:

* a node representing the extension itself
* a directional edge pointing to the idea it builds on
* associated Flow reflecting subsequent movement

Over time, this forms a branching structure — a dynamic story tree that shows how narratives compound across the network.

***

### How the graph is used

Teams and communities use the Story Graph to:

* see where continued extension is forming
* distinguish meaningful extensions from repetition
* understand how movement maps to contribution

Participants use it to:

* see how their work connects to others
* understand where they add the most leverage
* decide which ideas are worth building on next

# FAQs

#### **1. What is Remixing?**

Remixing means taking an existing idea and extending it with your own perspective.

It is how stories continue rather than repeat. A remix adds context, interpretation, or depth to an idea and carries it forward into new conversations.

On X, this often appears as a quote post - one common way people publicly extend ideas rather than responding in isolation. Remixing can take other forms as well, as long as it meaningfully continues an idea.

***

#### **2. Why Remixing? Does it discourage low-effort activity?**

Remixing reflects how ideas actually move.

To remix an idea, someone must engage with it, add perspective, and extend it in a way that others may choose to carry forward. Basic actions like likes, replies, or standalone posts are easy to repeat at scale.

Remixing requires context, contribution, and continuation.\
Because of this, it naturally raises the baseline for participation by design.

Vimix does not attempt to detect or block automation. Instead, it is structured so that repetition and duplication do not carry momentum.

***

#### **3. Who is Vimix for?**

Vimix is for anyone interested in how stories move through continuation.

* **Creators** extend ideas and contribute to ongoing narratives
* **Communities** gather around shared stories and themes
* **Projects** observe and support narrative movement as it develops

All participants operate within the same underlying structure.

***

#### **4. How does Vimix work?**

Vimix treats remixing as a signal of story continuation.

* Ideas are extended when people remix and add perspective
* Extensions form a **Story Graph** that shows how stories move and compound
* **Flow** reflects movement on that structure over time
* Optional coordination may be applied after stories have already begun moving

On Vimix, impact is understood through continuation, not posting frequency.

***

#### **5. What does Flow reflect on Vimix?**

Flow reflects whether an idea was picked up and extended by others.

Instead of counting visibility or volume, Flow reflects movement over time. It captures how ideas travel, evolve, and compound as people choose to build on them.

Flow is observational. It is not a score to optimize and does not guarantee outcomes.

***

#### **6. What makes Vimix different from tools that measure visibility?**

Vimix is built as a **story layer**, not a distribution or visibility tool.

Most systems focus on what appears on a timeline. Vimix focuses on what moves.

Instead of measuring surface-level activity, Vimix maps how stories are picked up, extended, and carried forward by people over time. It does not optimize for posting volume or short-term spikes.

Vimix does not tell people what to say.\
It provides structure for how stories evolve once they begin.

***

#### **7. Does Vimix require people to post or remix on X?**

No.

Vimix does not require, prompt, or instruct people to take actions on X. It observes public contributions that already exist and reflects how stories move through continuation.

Participation is organic, and any recognition happens after the fact.

***

#### **8. Is Vimix specific to X?**

No. Vimix is designed as a platform-agnostic story layer.

X is currently the most visible environment for public remixing and idea extension, which is why examples often reference it. The underlying structure (**Story Graph** and **Flow**) is not tied to any single platform.

# Account Registration

Vimix is designed to be accessible from the moment you sign in.

There is no upfront setup required to observe story movement or extend ideas organically.\
Your account and initial community structure are created automatically when you sign in.

***

### Step 1: Sign in with X

When you sign in with X, Vimix automatically creates your creator profile and associated community space.

No setup, forms, or approvals are required.

Your existing public posts are used as reference points for observing how ideas connected to your work have moved over time. These posts establish the initial context for story movement around your ideas and do not require any new activity.

***

### Step 2: Review your creator insights

Your creator space is available immediately after sign-in.

Inside, you can view:

* your top public posts
* creators who have most frequently extended or referenced your ideas
* an initial **Flow** reference derived from your posts at the time of registration
* tools to invite others to join if you choose

#### Discovery attribution

When new participants join Vimix through you, **15% of their Baseline Flow** is attributed back to your profile as a discovery contribution.

This attribution reflects the role of introduction and discovery in how stories propagate. It is structural and historical, not tied to required actions or guaranteed outcomes.

***

### Cohort 0 recognition

During the initial access period, early participants are grouped into **Cohort 0**.

Cohort 0 exists to acknowledge early presence at this stage of Vimix’s development. It provides historical context and structural recognition rather than rewards tied to behavior.

#### Initial Flow reference adjustment

Upon account creation, Cohort 0 profiles include a **10% adjustment to the initial Baseline Flow reference**.

This adjustment is carried forward as part of Vimix’s long-term structure and serves as historical recognition of early participation. It does not change how Flow is generated and is not a target to optimize.

***

### Invite-only access

Initial access to Vimix is limited to:

* users with a private access link from the Vimix core team
* users invited directly by an existing Cohort 0 participant

Only users who join through these paths are eligible for Cohort 0 recognition.

***

### Important clarification

Signing in does not require you to post, remix, or take actions on X.

Vimix observes public contributions that already exist and reflects how stories move over time. Participation is organic, and any recognition or attribution occurs after the fact.

# Remix Content

Vimix lets you engage with **story movement** from both sides:

* **extending other people’s ideas** through remixing
* **having your own ideas extended** by others

Vimix also supports **Remix Prompts**, which provide context for how an idea may be carried forward.

***

### **Step 1: Create a Remix Prompt**

A **Remix Prompt** establishes a starting point for observing how an idea is extended over time.

To create a prompt, you provide an existing public reference:

* **an X post link**, or
* **a post ID from your own account**

Vimix verifies this reference and uses it to anchor story movement around the idea.\
No new posting or sharing is required.

***

#### **Optional prompt context**

You can add optional context to clarify what the idea is about.\
This context is **descriptive**, not a set of instructions.

Optional fields include:

* **Prompt description**\
  What the idea, theme, or question is exploring.
* **Example formats the prompt may observe**\
  These are designed to observe, such as:

  * quote posts
  * articles or long-form writing
  * media-based content (visuals, video, audio)

  These formats are **not required**. They simply describe what the prompt is intended to surface.
* **Supporting links**\
  Documentation, websites, or background material for additional context.

Once created, the Remix Prompt becomes available as context for how the idea may evolve.

***

### **Step 2: Remixing and continuation**

A **remix** occurs when an existing idea is meaningfully extended with new perspective or interpretation.

On X, this often appears as a **quote post**, though remixing can take many forms.

Each extension:

* **continues the original idea**
* **adds a node to the Story Graph**
* **contributes to how the story moves across people and contexts**

As others choose to build on an extension, the story continues to move.\
**Flow** reflects this movement as a record of continuation over time.

***

# Campaigns

Campaigns on Vimix help organize support around an idea and allocate resources to the contributions that move it forward.

A campaign defines:

* **what the idea is**
* **how contributions are evaluated**
* **how resources are allocated after the campaign**

Campaigns can be created by projects, communities, or individual creators.

***

### **Step 1: Create a campaign**

When creating a campaign, you define three concrete things:

* **Campaign focus**\
  The idea or story the campaign is centered on.
* **Contribution criteria**\
  What you consider a strong contribution.\
  For example: original perspective, depth, clarity, or relevance to the idea.
* **Funding pool and currency**\
  The amount set aside to support impactful contributions, and the currency used.

Once created, the campaign tracks how the idea moves and evolves through public contributions.

***

### **Campaign types**

Vimix currently supports two campaign types, depending on how you want contributions to be evaluated.

#### **1. Flow target campaigns**

These campaigns allocate funding once a specific **Flow target** is reached.

You define:

* a **Flow target** for the campaign

As the idea is extended:

* Flow accumulates based on meaningful continuation
* contributions are tracked by their share of total Flow

Once the Flow target is reached:

* the funding pool unlocks
* allocations are distributed **pro rata**, based on Flow contribution

Best suited for:

* launches
* announcements
* moments where momentum matters

***

#### **2. Time-based campaigns**

These campaigns run over a fixed period and focus on sustained contribution.

You define:

* a **time window** (for example, 14 or 30 days)

During this period:

* contributions generate Flow over time
* Flow reflects consistency and depth, not posting frequency

At the end of the time window:

* the funding pool is allocated **pro rata**, based on Flow contribution

Optional controls allow you to:

* set a cutoff (for example, only the top contributors)
* prioritize depth and consistency over volume

Best suited for:

* long-running narratives
* educational content
* topics that benefit from steady exploration

***

### **Step 2: Fund and allocate**

When creating a campaign, the **funding pool** is defined upfront.

After the campaign ends:

* Flow and the Story Graph are reviewed
* contributions are evaluated using the campaign criteria
* allocations are calculated automatically
* selected contributors can claim their allocation

***

### **Quality controls**

Campaign creators can apply limited review controls to ensure contributions meaningfully extend the idea.

This includes the ability to:

* exclude spam-like or clearly automated accounts
* filter repetitive or low-effort extensions
* remove contributions that do not meaningfully extend the idea

These controls help ensure resources go to genuine contributions rather than surface-level repetition.

# Check Rewards

Vimix gives both campaign creators and contributors a clear view of how **story movement is evaluated and allocated**.

All contributions are tracked through the **Story Graph**, and allocation is calculated automatically based on **Flow** and the campaign’s criteria.

A **10% platform fee** is applied only to rewards that are successfully distributed.

***

### **For campaign creators**

Vimix gives you full visibility into how a campaign unfolded and how allocations are calculated.

You can see:

* **all eligible contributions** and the Flow they generated
* **each contributor’s share of total story movement**
* **how Flow travels through the Story Graph**, showing who extended whom and where momentum came from

You also retain the ability to apply basic review controls, including excluding:

* obvious bot accounts
* repetitive or low-effort submissions that do not meaningfully extend the idea

In practice, this gives you access to:

* a **Story Graph view** showing how the campaign’s narrative evolved
* a **contribution breakdown** highlighting which contributors drove the most continuation
* **allocation calculations** based on your campaign’s criteria and observed Flow
* a **downloadable CSV** for manual or off-chain allocation if needed

***

### **For contributors**

Vimix lets you understand how your work contributed to the campaign.

You can see:

* **Flow generated by each of your contributions**
* **your share of total impact** within the campaign
* **how your extensions connect to others** in the Story Graph

Once the campaign concludes and allocations are finalized:

* eligible contributors can claim their allocation directly

# Invite Others to Vimix

Invites on Vimix are designed to support **curation**, not volume.

When you invite someone to Vimix, you’re recognized for introducing creators whose ideas are likely to be **remixed and carried forward**.

When an invited creator joins:

* you receive attribution equal to **15% of their initial Creator Flow** reference
* this Flow reflects how their ideas tend to be extended by others
* you can invite **up to five creators** with this benefit

Invites are intentionally limited to encourage quality over reach.

***

### **Who to invite**

The strongest invites are creators whose ideas are already being **remixed** or who consistently add value when extending others’ ideas.

***

### **Option 1: Invite creators who remix your ideas**

Vimix highlights creators who frequently **remix your ideas** by extending them with new perspective.

This includes creators who:

* remix your posts (often via quote posts on X)
* add meaningful interpretation or context
* help carry your ideas into new conversations

Inviting these creators:

* strengthens the network of people extending your ideas
* increases the likelihood of continued remixing
* attributes Flow back to you as your ideas are carried forward

You can invite directly from this list by sharing your invite link.

***

### **Option 2: Share your invite link directly**

You can also invite creators you trust, such as:

* writers or researchers with thoughtful perspectives
* community members known for strong remixes
* contributors you believe will meaningfully extend existing ideas

They do not need to have remixed your ideas previously.

Inviting strong creators early:

* increases your initial Creator Flow reference
* improves the overall quality of remixing on Vimix
* supports long-term recognition based on how stories evolve
