🌊Flow

Flow is the core signal on Vimix.

It reflects how stories move through people over time — not how often someone posts or how much attention a post receives in isolation.

Flow emerges when ideas are extended by others over time. It reflects continuation over time, not activity.

On Vimix, Flow forms in two ways:

  • when you extend ideas that resonate with you

  • when others choose to build on ideas you originated

Stories have lineage. When an idea is carried forward, movement is attributed back through that lineage to reflect how stories evolve.

Ideas that are easier to extend tend to travel further. As this continuation occurs, Flow accumulates as a record of how the story evolved.

Flow is observational. It helps reveal how stories move — it does not prescribe actions or guarantee outcomes.

1. Remixer Flow and Creator Flow

Flow is composed of two complementary signals that reflect different roles people play in story movement.

Remixer Flow

Remixer Flow reflects movement generated by how you extend other people’s ideas.

It increases when your extensions resonate and lead to further continuation by others. Higher Remixer Flow indicates effectiveness at carrying stories into new contexts and helping ideas travel.

This reflects contribution through extension, not origination.

Creator Flow

Creator Flow reflects movement tied to you as an originator — when ideas you introduce are carried forward by others.

It is composed of three components:

  • Baseline Flow An initial reference point based on how your past ideas have tended to move at the time you join Vimix. This establishes context, not a target to optimize.

  • Discovery Contribution When new participants join through you, a portion of their baseline movement is attributed to you. This reflects the role of discovery and introduction in how stories propagate.

  • Upstream Attribution from Extensions When others extend your ideas, a portion of the resulting movement is attributed back to the original source. This acknowledges the influence of the originating idea within an evolving narrative.

Higher Creator Flow indicates that ideas you introduce consistently invite continuation.

2. User Flow and Community Flow

Flow exists at both the individual and collective level.

User Flow

User Flow represents your overall participation in story movement across Vimix.

It aggregates movement generated through:

  • ideas you extend

  • ideas you originate that others build on

This provides a holistic view of how you contribute to narrative evolution over time.

Community Flow

Community Flow represents total movement generated within a specific community.

It includes:

  • contributions from originators

  • contributions from everyone who participates in extending ideas tied to that community

Community Flow reflects collective narrative momentum.

It is similar in spirit to concepts like mindshare, but grounded in observable continuation rather than surface-level visibility.

3. Gravity

Gravity reflects how reliably your ideas tend to attract continuation.

It is derived from historical patterns of remixing and extension, establishing a baseline reference for how ideas you share are typically picked up and built upon.

Higher Gravity suggests that when you introduce an idea, it is more likely to be extended by others.

This reflects consistency of resonance, not scale or posting frequency.

4. Remixability

Remixability reflects how often others choose to extend your ideas.

It acts as an indicator of:

  • how extension-ready your ideas are

  • how frequently others build on your perspective

  • the potential for stories to compound through continuation

High Remixability signals that ideas naturally invite participation and reinterpretation.

Rather than measuring reach or performance, Remixability reflects how easily ideas become part of a shared narrative.
