🌊Flow
Flow measures whether an idea continues.
If someone builds on an idea, Flow increases. If no one builds on it, Flow does not increase.
Flow is not based on likes, impressions, or posting frequency. It is based on continuation inside the Story Graph.
Simple example
You post an idea.
Someone quotes it and adds perspective.
A third person builds on that extension.
That chain creates Flow.
If the chain continues, Flow grows. If it stops, Flow stops.
How Flow works
Every meaningful extension becomes part of the Story Graph.
When extensions continue over time:
Movement is recorded.
Flow accumulates along that chain.
Attribution travels back through the lineage.
Flow reflects story movement — not surface engagement.
Flow vs Engagement
Engagement measures attention. Flow measures continuation.
You can go viral and generate low Flow if no one builds on your idea. You can have modest engagement and high Flow if your idea sparks ongoing extension.
Two ways to generate Flow
Remixer Flow
You generate Remixer Flow when:
You extend someone else’s idea
Your extension leads to further continuation
It reflects your ability to move stories forward.
Creator Flow
You generate Creator Flow when:
You introduce an idea
Others build on it
Creator Flow reflects how consistently your ideas invite continuation.
It includes:
Baseline Flow (how your ideas historically tend to move)
Upstream attribution (when extensions build on your original idea)
Discovery contribution (when new participants join through you)
Individual and Collective Flow
User Flow Your total contribution to story movement across the network.
Community Flow Total continuation happening within a project, theme, or ecosystem.
Community Flow reflects shared narrative movement — not posting volume.
Gravity
Gravity reflects how likely your ideas are to attract continuation based on historical patterns.
It measures reliability of continuation, not scale.
Remixability
Remixability reflects how often others choose to extend your ideas.
It indicates how naturally your ideas invite participation.
Important Distinction
Flow does not guarantee rewards. It does not prescribe behavior.
It reflects what already happened:
Did the idea continue? Or did it stop?
